GINGERBREAD - BEER

Gingerbread first turned up as a delicacy as early as in ancient Egypt and the sweet-loving Czechs were among the first in Europe to learn how to make it. As early as under Charles IV, in the 15th century, there were genuine gingerbread baking masters in this country.
The town of Pardubice (East Bohemia) was notable for achieving fame in baking gingerbread, which is often called the town of gingerbread and even has a gingerbread museum.
There are considerable differences in the quality of gingerbread; some kinds are made for decoration only. However, like our gingerbread that you enjoy eating too, the real, fair gingerbread is sweetened with genuine honey. It is flavoured with jam and a spice mixture according to an old secret family recipe that has been passed down and improved for generations.
It is both made and decorated manually and does not contain any stabilisers or preservatives.
